Arrival and Dismissal

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

  1. Prior to leaving your home, you must do a symptoms check on each child to ensure they are not presenting any Covid-19 symptoms, a Clear Pass form is not required this year. If they have symptoms call the school to find out next steps. Symptoms may include: 

    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
  2. For your child's safety students are to arrive at school no earlier than 8:45 am, unless they are enrolled in the 6 to 6 program or extended day academic program. NO SUPERVISION is available before this time.

  3. In the morning, all students are to go directly to their designated grade level area. See map for details about each grade level. Adults and students must wear masks as mandated by local and state ordinances.  

  4. Upon arrival, bike riders (grades 4 and 5 only) are to proceed directly to the bike rack, located in front of the library. Students must walk their bikes while on school property and required to wear helmets and use bike locks.

  5. SAFETY FIRST - All students crossing any streets to arrive to school must use the crosswalks and follow the directions of the school safety patrol and adult crossing guards.

  6. LATE STUDENTS - MUST obtain a tardy slip after 9:00 am at the gate and in the office after 9:15 am.

  7. Checking your child out prior to dismissal - Please come to the office and sign out your child. You MUST bring a PHOTO ID and your name must appear on the Student Enrollment Card. The office will then call the classroom for your child, who will then report to the office.

  8. Student's will leave at 3:35. Please see map for designated grade level dismissal sites. Parents will be asked to line up in a space with 6 feet between each household group at the gates for PK/Kinder and 2nd/3rd gates. 1st grade parents will form a line in front of their teacher's area. The Parking Lot will be closed to through traffic.  Students 

  9. Student's who have not been picked up by 3:45 will be walked to the office to call home. Students must be picked up before 4:00 when the office closes, no exceptions.
